Carol is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Wimberley Texas. Her work in Traditional Chinese Medicine is a perfect complement to her more than forty years as a Registered Nurse, practicing in a wide variety of health care settings. Since graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing she has held corporate positions in regulatory compliance, education and regional administration, in addition to working in direct patient care. In 1992 Carol opened Health Educational and Resource Services, a consulting practice focused on business development planning, quality assurance, customer service and leadership development. She has worked with hospital and home care leaders nationwide, as well as conducted board retreats for non-profits and local governments, earning her praise as a gifted facilitator and speaker.
Carol earned her Master of Science degree in 2002 from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin before relocating to Wimberley, where she established Wimberley Acupuncture and has been a part of the community ever since. She is a self proclaimed introvert who loves organizing stuff, working in the yard, crafting, writing songs for her grandkids and making cool things out of junk.
I am honored to be a member of The Greater Mercy Foundation board as it explores ways to support healing practices and create deeper connections. A welcome and exciting approach to healthy, balanced living.
