Mother Tree FAQ

What is the Mother Tree Project?

The Mother Tree Project offers sliding-scale mental health and wellness services to the community. We work within a network of practitioners to respond to the specific needs of each client. Our practitioners are highly skilled and have a variety of experience and training. Meet our case managers and practitioners.

Sliding-scale services are sustainable when we all work together.

How do I connect to these services?

If you are interested in accessing services through the Mother Tree, please call or text Amy Lyles at 512-644-1778.

What can I expect when I call?

When you make the initial call to Amy Lyles, she will tell you more about the Mother Tree Project. She will answer any questions and connect you with one of our case managers to discuss the details of your particular situation. Our case managers are licensed therapists who will ensure you are connected with the resources you and/or your family need.

What are the costs per session?

Every client and practitioner participating in this program supports the services offered. Practitioners have agreed to a reduced fee to serve clients through this program. Clients who work with one of our practitioners and can pay the practitioner’s full rate offer the difference and help provide services for those who need to pay an agreed sliding-scale fee. The client fee is determined at the intake process with one of our case managers. We will work within whatever financial situation is present to serve every client.

The Greater Mercy Foundation also supports this project through grants, community contributions, and income generated by offering monthly continuing education for licensed professionals (CEUs) and donations.

Where are the counseling sessions held?

Most of our clients will meet with practitioners at our Wimberley office located at 700 West Summit Dr.  We also have practitioners working from locations in Kyle, Austin, and virtually.

Is there virtual available?

Yes, most of our practitioners will see clients virtually if it is preferred and/or practical.

Who is eligible for these services?

Everyone is eligible for our services. In fact, clients who have insurance or who can pay for their care help support services for those without insurance or who need a reduced fee. Clients who choose Mother Tree for therapeutic services are offering the difference to our community.

Who are the practitioners who serve clients?

Meet the practitioners currently working with Mother Tree clients.

What information is shared between The Greater Mercy Foundation and my clinician?

The Greater Mercy Foundation Case Managers and Amy Lyles, Executive Director/Clinical Director receive and track information only about the number of sessions attended by clients. We track this information in order to complete payment to the provider. The information you share in session with your practitioner is confidential and private.

We offer the difference, meeting the needs and filling the gaps in services and systems so that there is more balance and stability during this time of great transition and transformation.

THE MOTHER TREE STORY
The Mother Tree has been around since time began. The Mother Tree has seen abundance, peace, and harmony; and she has witnessed scarcity, storms, and unrest. She is resilient and knows how to endure. She always survives, and she also knows how to thrive. Mother Tree shares her knowledge and resources with her community. With nature as our guide, the Mother Tree Project shares knowledge and resources with our community.
